Rumba style begins at home for designer Kimba Hills. A passionate art and furniture collector, Kimba fills the rooms in her home with eclectic pieces and for fun, changes it up from time to time. She believes that you should build around one important piece—a couch, a coffee table, a fabulous rug or two side chairs—and really make one key investment in a room. Kimba loves color and a rumba style credo is don’t be afraid to use color even if it is on one wall. Pillows are a must for Kimba and she uses them at home and in her SpeedDesign work because they can add color and really tie the room together. Finally, if you have limited funds for art you can make an “insignificant” piece look priceless with a wonderful frame and matting; art is also a way to insert color in a small space and it will always make you happy.
